Responsibilities include:
As a Software Engineering Intern at Datadobi, you will gain hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by doing:
Development & Coding: Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented Java for our QA test bench, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Debugging & Testing: Troubleshooting existing codebases and running automated or manual tests to identify and resolve bugs.
Collaboration: Participating in sprint planning, standups..., and collaborating via pull requests and code reviews.
More specifically, you will work on improving the quality of our flagship product StorageMAP:
Automating tests using Java, JUnit and Selenium to reduce our manual testing effort, and increase our capability to release more reliable, faster and more often.
Investigate on how to set up and execute performance and scaling tests; and monitor the results trending over time.
Education: Currently pursuing a BS (final year) / MS / PhD in Computer Science.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Java.
Tools: Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to learn new technologies quickly, and strong communication skills (English mandatory / Dutch optional).
Mindset: A curious, proactive learner, comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
JUnit, Selenium or playwright
Vaadin
Basic Linux system administration
File system data structures, file system access protocols (NFS, SMB) and object protocols (S3)
Spec driven development using Claude Code
